PAYMENT
The price shall be contained in dot the i Atelier’s quotation, invoice or in writing, and agreed between dot the i Atelier and the Client before work commences. A 50% non-refundable payment is required before work can begin. The remaining 50% is due before printing or for calligraphy only jobs, it is due on completion & before shipping. Payment information will be included on all invoices. All payments must be paid within 14 days of invoicing, unless explicitly agreed in advance. If there are any adjustments such as the final number of guests, your final invoice will reflect these changes. If the number changes and supplies have already been ordered by us then there may be extra costs for getting more supplies ordered. If the Client product is needed quickly, a rush shipping fee will be reflected on the final invoice. Any Client requested changes will be billed additionally. The client will be notified of any price changes and any remaining balance will be due at the time of completion. I have a minimum payment of £50 for bespoke calligraphy commissions. All work valued under £100 will be required to pay 100% of the project cost before work can begin. For wedding stationery & on-the-day stationery/signage, I require a minimum payment of £250.

CALLIGRAPHY, DESIGN & STATIONERY
Completion dates are pencilled in the diary but not guaranteed until the deposit has been received. Proofs will be sent throughout the design process for you (usually in PDF format). It is your responsibility to make sure that the wording content and that there are no spelling mistakes etc. Bespoke designs include up to three rounds of proofs where changes can be made if necessary.  Semi-custom invitations include two rounds of proofs. This includes a final proof for sign-off before printing. Any extra rounds will incur a fee and will be charged at my hourly rate of £40. Printing will not commence until dot the i Atelier has received written confirmation from you. By signing off on the final proof, you accept responsibility for the information, wording and layout as shown. If errors are discovered after proof approval you will be charged a fee for additional work & for the items to be reprinted. I estimate the completion time of each order based on my diary at that time. If proof sign off or provision of information is delayed, then your completion estimate may change. If at any time, the job changes significantly and alters the specifications of the initial quote, a cost revision email will be sent and a revised fee will be agreed upon by both the Client and dot the i Atelier before work continues. The Client has the responsibility to check proofs for correct information (times, dates etc) and spelling of all words. Once approved, no changes can be made and dot the i Atelier will not be held responsible for any errors found after your approval.

ADDRESSES, NAMES & INFORMATION
For envelope addresses, you will be emailed a spreadsheet to complete with guest details. Please ensure all information provided & spelling is correct as dot the i Atelier does not accept any responsibility for spelling mistakes or wrong information provided by you. When handwriting, words will be written exactly as given. If an error is made by dot the i Atelier, the item will be replaced at no cost to you. If you make an error in spelling, you will bear the cost to make any change. Please note that any delays in providing information in a timely manner may incur a rush charge of 20% and could delay the delivery day. If I am handwriting items for you such as envelopes or place settings and you are providing the materials, then I ask that you provide 20% extra. With handwritten calligraphy & ink, unfortunately, occasional mistakes do happen. With printing, I recommend that you order an additional amount to allow for extra guests, keepsakes and for professional photographs on the day. Any additional items needed once order has been printed is likely to be charged at a higher printing cost.

PRINTING & CALLIGRAPHY VARIATIONS
Please note that samples and proofs may not exactly match the finished product due to variations in the print production process. Printing can result in small variations. Please be aware that colours may appear differently on screen compared printing and I advise that you print all your proofs prior to approval. However, colours printed on your home printer are not an accurate representation of those printed by a professional printer and dot the i Atelier does not guarantee an exact match. All of my calligraphy is handwritten & I do not use a font. I use a dip pen and ink to write my calligraphy.  The nature of handwritten calligraphy means that it is unique and there are imperfections and irregularities. No two handwritten pieces will ever be identical.

CALLIGRAPHY AND THE POST
I will not be responsible for any invitations and envelopes that do not make it to their intended address. Please check your address list carefully to fully ensure that all addresses are correct to minimise the chance of this happening.

DIGITALISED CALLIGRAPHY & ILLUSTRATION
Lettering & illustrations that are digitised for reproduction, are created the traditional way - all created to order, written/drawn by hand, then digitised and exported for use in print or on the web. Digitised lettering is priced on a case-by-case basis depending on the design’s complexity.

CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS & EXCHANGES
In the event of an order being cancelled by yourselves, dot the i Atelier will not refund any money once the work has commenced on your order. In the unlikely event of the order being cancelled by me, then you will be given a full refund. Please ensure dot the i Atelier receives any complaint you may have within seven days of receipt of goods. Due to the handmade nature of our work, they are non-refundable and not eligible for return or exchange. If there is a misspelt envelope, I will gladly rewrite it and send it. If there is an error on work approved by the client then there will be an additional fee for the extra service. Missing goods must also be reported to dot the i Atelier within seven days.

DELIVERY
Royal Mail Special Delivery or a courier, which are tracked and insured, are used for delivering all orders. Items will often need to be signed for so please make sure that there is someone at your supplied address. Larger pieces will be send via a courier. Delivery cost will be calculated after the order is complete as will depend on the weight. Those that are overweight due to the materials used will incur an extra charge. Collection is welcome if you are local to Bath but must be pre-arranged with me. I accept no responsibility for items lost in the post or delayed due to postal strikes or circumstances out of our control. I am happy to send goods Internationally and will source the best form of postage for these jobs. Please note that goods posted outside the UK may be subject to local customs charges and dot the i Atelier accepts no responsibility for delays in shipping or duty charges.
