Having worked in the corporate world for many years (from Apache helicopter procurement, to trainee solicitor, to legal recruitment consultant), a change of direction post-children led me to a job as a studio manager where I was trained in digital design work and website development. Having always had a love for handwriting and being creative, I taught myself calligraphy and it organically turned into more than a ‘hobby’. Soon I was approached for commissions and weddings. My journey as a stationery designer started and I set up Dot the i Atelier. Over the past eight years, I have collaborated with individuals, design studios, wedding & event planners, PR companies, television production studios, as well as a host of luxury brands.
